Celebrate Recovery Australia is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
Celebrate Recovery is a peer-led, Christ-centred support ministry, not a counselling or clinical service.
We encourage participants to seek professional help when needed, especially in situations where additional support is required for emotional, mental, or psychological wellbeing.
You should consider professional counselling if you are experiencing:
Ongoing anxiety, depression, or trauma that feels overwhelming
Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
Addiction or compulsive behaviours that feel unmanageable
Family or relationship issues requiring structured support
Situations where deeper clinical care or diagnosis may be helpful
Many people in Celebrate Recovery choose to include professional counselling as part of their overall recovery journey, alongside meetings, sponsorship, accountability, and Step Studies. These supports can work together in a healthy and complementary way.
Professional counsellors, psychologists, and health practitioners are trained to provide specialised care that supports deeper healing and growth.
Seeking professional help is not a sign of weakness—it is a healthy and proactive step in your recovery journey.
The CR Ministry Leader and leadership team oversee the day-to-day running of Celebrate Recovery, including meetings, Step Studies, leadership development, and care for the ministry environment.
If you are in immediate danger or believe someone’s life is at risk, please call 000 (Australia) or go to your nearest emergency department.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, unsafe, or need someone to talk to right now, support is available 24/7:
Lifeline – 13 11 14 (24/7 crisis support)
Suicide Call Back Service – 1300 659 467
Beyond Blue Support Service – 1300 22 4636 (anxiety, depression, and wellbeing support)
Kids Helpline – 1800 55 1800 (for people aged 5–25)
You are not alone. Reaching out for help is a strong and important step, and support is available whenever you need it.
Celebrate Recovery is supported by the local church and is part of a wider pastoral care network.
If you are needing additional support, you are encouraged to reach out for pastoral care through your church.
This may include:
Speaking with a CR ministry leader
Contacting a pastor or pastoral care team member
Accessing prayer and spiritual support
Being connected with appropriate care, counselling, or external services if needed
Pastoral support is available to walk alongside you in both recovery and life challenges, offering encouragement, prayer, and guidance in a safe and caring environment.
You are not alone—support is available, and reaching out is always welcome.
Prayer is a valued part of the Celebrate Recovery community, and you are welcome to request prayer at any time.
You can request prayer by:
Speaking with a CR ministry leader at a meeting
Asking your sponsor or accountability team
Reaching out to a trusted leader during or after a gathering
Sharing a prayer request in appropriate group settings, where invited
Celebrate Recovery is a recovery ministry first and foremost, not a prayer ministry. However, prayer is an important expression of care and support within our Christ-centred recovery community.
All prayer requests are treated with care, respect, and confidentiality in line with Guideline #4.
You are not alone—support, encouragement, and prayer are available as part of walking together in recovery.
